GREEN INITIATIVES

PRM is committed to increasing the energy efficiency of our customer's equipment and reducing their carbon footprint. This may be through new womb-to-the-tomb systems, replacing components within their existing system, recommissioining existing equipment or an on-site review and analysis.

We ensure our team keeps up to date with the latest developments and emerging technologies from around the globe, meeting customer and market green demands.

PRM uses the latest software packages, architectural modelling, proprietary and in-house developed analysis tools, PRM can design a system that complies with the most stringent of customer design brief. With wide and varied experience in natural refrigerants and low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants, PRM Refrigeration can tailor a solution congruent with delivering eco-friendly system solutions.

DOING OUR PART

While our hands-on team keeps on top of the latest developments and technologies to meet customer and market green demands, our head office and factory runs 95% on solar energy panels. PRM Refrigeration is committed to reducing the impact that systems have on the environment, and are pleased to offer solutions that reduce carbon footprints whilst having the added ongoing benefit of lower operating costs.

ASSET REPLACEMENT

For customers looking to make more strategic investment with their refrigeration systems, consider replacing tired and inefficient equipment with more current technology. The industry has developed and moved to more eco-friendly energy efficient technology that can complement your existing installed systems, providing our customers with improved product presentation at lower operating costs.

RE-COMMISSIONING SYSTEMS

PRM'S re-commissioning has one purpose, to optimise the energy efficiency of our customer’s existing refrigeration, air conditioning systems and lighting systems within their facility.

Re-commissioning tired or neglected systems is important for customers concerning raised operational costs. Our skilled technical staff can complete a thorough and investigative review of our customer’s assets; checking system set-points, cycling, temperatures, connections and climatic conditions to ensure assets are performing optimally.

Many systems through their lifecycle suffer service and maintenance staff ‘playing’ syndrome, whereby system set-points are changed, often to mask unrelated influences on systems rather than finding root causes to maintenance calls. Our team addresses these practices and inefficiencies by revising operating systems and processes, checking, retesting and verifying system test procedures based on site specific climatic and environmental conditions.

Let PRM Refrigeration help you enjoy the benefits of refining, retuning and correcting system set-points to ensure power consumption is optimised as practicable as possible to avail an extended life expectancy of your assets.

LEAK TEST ANALYSIS

Call PRM Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and let us help you reduce your operating expenditure, and do your part in the prevention of ozone depleting refrigerants from escaping your system today.

Despite the carbon levy being lifted from global warming refrigerants, the cost of refrigerant  is an area where customers incur both direct and indirect costs; direct being the cost of refrigerant constantly being topped up into systems at regularly service intervals; in-direct being the cost associated with poor equipment performance, increased energy costs and loss of sales due to offline equipment.

Our team is well skilled and versed in critically leak testing customer’s systems and have developed a comprehensive testing, analysis and rectification regime. Our technical field staff deploy proven and tested techniques to locate and remedy the smallest of leaks.

ENERGY OPTIMIZATION

Electronically Commutated (EC) Fans

Replace your old power hungry shaded pole evaporator fans motors with new EC fan technology. Suitable for almost every refrigerated merchandiser, EC fans can be programmed and adapted to most mainstream manufacturers and models.

Light-Emitting Diode (LED) Lighting

In our pursuit to converse and create greater energy efficiencies for our customers, we have seen significant benefit to migrate away from old fluorescent tubes to more energy efficient LEDs. If our customers share the same desire to reduce ongoing operating costs, and LED is a quick and easy solution for this issue. LED lighting, whether merchandiser canopy lighting, fixture shelf lighting or Point Of Sale lighting, can realise significant power savings using PRM Refrigeration’s holistic solution.

Night-blinds, Glass Covers

& Multi-deck Doors

Open refrigerated merchandises spill enormous amounts of refrigerated air, resulting in an increase of power required along with many other issues. A combination of night-blinds, glass covers or fitment of glass doors to cases is an easy solution to reducing energy costs. Night blinds can be drawn down during out of business hours. While glass covers for well fridges and freezers, and self-closing glass doors provide the optimal energy savings. Glass covers contains the refrigerated air all day long and can reduce energy use by 50% or more.

PRM is committed to reducing the impact that systems have on the environment, and offer solutions that reduce carbon footprints whilst having the added ongoing benefit of lower operating costs.
